MIAMI, FL — One Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office employee injured late Saturday evening following a High-Speed collsion involving the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office and Florida Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred Saturday evening on Franklin Court at around 7:35 p.m. Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office's Lieutenant Valencia provided a statement informing that the Florida Highway Patrol crossed double-yellow lines while not clearing the intersection of Franklin Court-Abor Lane.
Despite multiple requests for comment, the Florida Highway Patrol has not provided a statement regarding the situation that occurred on that night. Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office's Lieutenant Valencia has come out of the collision with multiple open body wounds, including a concussion. Lieutenant Valencia has requested the Florida Highway Patrol unit be demoted and/or removed from their position. Lieutenant Valencia threatens a lawsuit if appropriate action is not taken by the Florida Highway Patrol.

MIAMI, FL — Two people were injured late Saturday evening after a Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office vehicle was reportedly involved in a hit-and-run incident, according to local witnesses and preliminary reports.
The collision occurred on Riverside Drive around 7:03 p.m. Witnesses at the scene say a marked sheriff’s patrol vehicle struck two pedestrians crossing the intersection before leaving the area.
Emergency crews transported both victims to Jackson Memorial Hospital. Their current conditions have not yet been released.
Despite repeated requests for comment, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office has not issued a statement regarding the incident. It remains unclear whether the deputy driving the vehicle has been identified or if an internal investigation is underway.
The Florida Highway Patrol has confirmed it is assisting with the investigation. Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward with additional information.
